AIGNER - A GERMAN LIFESTYLE BRAND WITH TRADITION
One of the main signatures of the current Fall/Winter 2019 Collection: The pansy runs through the collection as a romantic element in different interpretations on different designs. The tartan check "Cybill Bag" in the two colourways Dark Mauve and Deep Blue is another important winter element, as is the horse’s head inspired by AIGNER’s racing history.
The horse is and remains a loyal brand symbol for AIGNER. And so it is also found on our popular "Cybill" made from embossed cowhide in elegant and timeless black. The horse’s head is positioned on the left-hand side of the handle and bites firmly onto the upper edge of the bag. At the same time, however, this symbol also appears here in the context of the collection - the rethinking and breaking of habits - Enlightenment, the theme of the current Fall/Winter Collection.
"Epona", the Roman goddess of horses, gave her name to this new series. The top handle and overall look of this handbag find inspiration in AIGNER’s archives and are reminiscent of the look from the 1970s. The elaborate piping at the edges immediately catches the eye. The reference to the brand’s popular equestrian background can be seen in the specially created and developed horse click fastener, which sits in the centre of the frontal leather flap.
Already seen in previous seasons, the screw stud derived from the archive has become established and developed into a characteristic element of the collections. We have extended our absolute favourite model "Fiorentina" with an additional model that simply must not be missed: an evening bag! This small shoulder bag is ideal for warm summer evenings, dinner parties or attending events. It has a chic, gold-coloured shoulder chain and can be combined perfectly with gold jewellery. The top-grain leather and the gold-coloured logo on the front create a unique vintage look, which comes into its own with fancy outfits or a little black dress. The "Grazia" high-quality leather bag has a noticeably soft Alcantara lining. Styled with a cool leather jacket, high boots and a fine silk scarf, this fashionable mini bag comes into its own.
